Pala-U Waterfall 2007
Pala-U Waterfall in 2007
Pala-U Waterfall, located about 60 km west of Hua Hin, used to be the most popular day trip from Hua Hin.
Then the self-installed coup government raised the entrance fee from an already outrageous 200 Baht to 300 Baht per adult foreigner (children pay half) in February 2015, as this rather modest waterfall is qualified as a "National Park".
This means that a family of four will pay 900 Baht, the price of a lavish family dinner at a local seaside restaurant.
Thais, Chinese and Asian-looking folk can get in for 50 Baht, as this policy is racist and the fee is based on appearance and skin color.
It is therefore strongly advised to boycott Pala-U and all other "National Parks" of Thailand until these racist and greedy policies are changed.
